The Joe Berg Seminars Vision for the Future
fostering learning and critical thinking in young people
building a better future for all
The Joe Berg Seminars is an invitation-only honor society for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, in operation since 1960. Each class of Joe Berg Scholars includes many of the best and brightest students from public and private high schools in Duval County and neighboring counties in northeast Florida. It is likely that many of these students will become leaders who will decide how to handle the challenges presented by a complex and fractious world. Ordinary citizens will have to deal with these challenges in one way or another as well. Here we present a vision of how an expanded version of The Joe Berg Seminars might in some small way help both future leaders and ordinary citizens cope with those challenges.
